Minhui Lee is a NYC based composer, music director, and pianist, who hails from Seoul, South Korea.
Her select Music Direction credits include 3Penny Opera (MD; Off Brand Opera), Caroline, or Change (MD; Audelco Winner), Baby (Conductor/Assoc.MD; Drama Desk Nominee), Kinky Boots (Assoc.MD; Fulton Theatre). She is passionate about developing new musical theatre work and has been lucky to be part of new shows such as Misaeng (Vocal Arrangement; Horipro Japan), United States v. Gupta (MD; New Georges), The Apple Boys (Assoc.MD; Bucks County Playhouse), along with many workshops.
As a composer, Minhui’s original work has been featured in Lincoln Center’s Broadway Future Songbook Series, Prospect Musicals, 54 below and more. She wrote the theme songs for the Korean Professional Baseball Team, Kiwoom Heroes, and recently released "Adagio for Strings”, now available on all major music streaming platforms.
She earned a BA in Composition from Ewha Womans University in Seoul, and holds an MFA in Musical Theatre Writing from NYU Tisch. She is a proud member of the Dramatist Guild of America, Local 802 AFM, and Maestra.
